BriteTurf, a lawn care division of Britescape, is on the lookout for a dedicated Lawn Care Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our high-end residential landscape accounts, focusing on comprehensive turf care. This role involves a variety of tasks including edging, trimming, mowing lawns, and general garden care such as occasional pruning, weeding, and planting. The goal is to ensure our clients' lawns are meticulously maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe.

Responsibilities

• Cutting lawns using electric lawn mower and electric line trimmer
• Maintaining areas around lawns by trimming edges near walkways, flower beds, walls, weeding, and power sweeping pavement areas upon completion
• Installing seasonal plantings, pruning shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, as indicated by contract
• Performing other general landscape-related tasks, as needed
• Ensuring the premise is safe and free of hazards
• Completing other duties as assigned by employer

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in groundskeeping or related work
• Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Ability to communicate and work well with others
• Working knowledge of lawn equipment
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes over 50 lbs
• Ability to handle working outside for extended periods with varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Must maintain prompt and reliable attendance
• Must be able to follow assigned schedule and complete daily tasks
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Compensation

The compensation for this role ranges from $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. This could be a part-time position (25-32 hours per week) but we would prefer a candidate that can commit to full-time employment (32-40 hours per week).
